Dear Exhibitors,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I would like to cordially welcome all exhibitors and visitors to the Kazakhstan International Exhibition of “Green” Technologies, Innovations and Eco-Services - EcoTech 2011, organised by Iteca LLP with official support from the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan during the 7th Environment for Europe Ministerial Conference!
Kazakhstan is for the first time hosting the Environment for Europe Ministerial Conference, which is going to discuss pressing environment issues and provide an opportunity to pay due attention to the most acute ecological problems.
At the 25 September 2007 UN General Session, President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan suggested developing a global energy and environment strategy and discussing it at the 2012 World Sustainable Development Summit.
Based thereon, Kazakhstan plans to present a partnership programme at this exhibition for the countries of Europe, Asia and the Pacific in order to implement the Astana initiative, The Green Bridge, for 2011-2020. This initiative was approved by the 6th Ministerial Conference on Environment and Development of the Asia-Pacific Region held in September-October 2010 in Astana by UNESCAP.
The Green Bridge initiative aims to encourage regional, inter-regional and inter-sectoral cooperation and provide conditions for implementation of the “green” economy principles and consider the changing political and economic factors, environmental priorities and growing needs of the countries of Europe, Asia and the Pacific.
EcoTech 2011 exhibitors include prominent companies such as TengizChevroil (Kazakhstan), Eisenmann Anlagenbau GmbH & Co. KG (Germany), Imabe Eco Service LLC (Spain/Russia), Enviro-Hemi GmbH (Germany/Russia), ZVVZ-Enven Engineering, a.s. (Czech Republic), etc. Very interesting technologies will be presented, too.
I am sure that the exhibition, as one of the form of cooperation, will offer a great platform to improve partnerships, establish new and enhance existing links, share expertise, and introduce new environment-friendly “green” technologies and innovations!
Sincerely,
Minister of Environment Protection, Republic of Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan will for the first time host the Environment for Europe Ministerial Conference to discuss pressing issues of environment. The Conference will offer an opportunity to pay special attention to the most urgent problems in the area of environment protection in Central Asian countries. The Ministerial Conference will be attended by official high-level delegations from 56 countries of the UNECE region.
During the exhibition, the Conference activities will also include 39 side events on various environmental topics to allow stakeholders to learn more about the problems discussed, hear experts’ opinions, and provide input in addressing these issues.
It is great to know that the exhibitors and guests are going to have an excellent opportunity to talk to each other, establish new and enhance existing business relations, and that visitors will be able to see new achievements in the area of environment and rational use of the nature and water.
We are confident that the two simultaneous events – EcoTech and the Ministerial Conference – will be a successful complement to present and discuss important environmental issues, rational use of water resources, and introduce innovations.
May all exhibitors and visitors enjoy a successful work at the exhibition, stay well and succeed in business! See you in 2012!
Sincerely,
