The President assigned the Government to begin construction of the first 1,300-megawatt module of the Balkhash Thermal Power Plant this year, and establish the 2,700-km-long transit corridor ‘Western Europe - Western China’ next year, as well as begin construction of two new railways: Zhezkazgan - Beineu and Arkalyk - Shubarkol, continue implementation of the Mineral Fertiliser Plant Construction Project in Zhambyl Oblast, and build a deep oil processing facility at the Atyrau Oil Refinery.
Besides, the President tasked to ensure design capacity of the Atyrau Gas Chemical Complex, begin construction of a gas processing plant on Karachaganak Field, and begin construction of a gas transmission system in order to supply gas to the country’s central region including the national capital.
