Within the visit N.Iskakov met with the faculty of the Sustainable and Innovation Development Department. He said the Ministry planned to construct the Vernandsky Scientific-Educational Ecological Center in the Borovoe resort zone.
The Minister thanked the Russian scientists, who took part in the discussion of the Concept for Transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Sustainable Development for 2007-2024 approved by the President of Kazakhstan in 2006.
“I would like to emphasize that according to the Concept, Kazakhstan develops a new modern model of transition to sustainable development”, he added.
N.Iskakov informed the participants of a draft law prohibiting import of environmentally unsound technologies, technique and equipment, which was elaborated and introduced to the Kazakh Parliament to develop the Environmental Code of Kazakhstan.
