Kazakhstan to strengthen positions in ecological sustainability rating“Kazakh Environmental Protection Ministry forecasts that Kazakhstan will raise its positions on 65th place from the 70 place in the ecological sustainability rating subsequent to the results of the year”, Nurlan Iskakov, the Kazakh Environmental Protection Minister said at the collegium
“According to the preliminary results, emissions into the open air per unit of the GDP were reduced by 8 % and by 7 % into the water bodies. Environmental Protection Ministry of Kazakhstan has developed a three-year action plan worth KZT 200 bln in 2007”, the Kazakh Minister added.
